We were asked to choose a company or a significant historical event, and translate the data into an effective infographic design. I chose to study Aritzia, a Canadian clothing retailer. Over the following weeks, I researched and collected a wide range of data about the brand’s history and products, then I organized all of this information using a variety of bar charts, timelines, organizational charts, pie graphs, maps, and more. Once the visual graphics were completed, I combined these elements into a timeline, with each graph relating to a significant event in the company’s history. To unify all the graphics in the poster, I got creative with fabric textures, colours and imagery. This resulted in a visually cohesive and engaging graphic that effectively communicates complex information, alongside Aritzia’s growth over the years.
